About Willow

Adoption Fee: $700
Great Dane
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

LOCATION: Catonsville, Maryland DOB: 02/14/2022 Let's give a warm welcome to our new friend, Willow! Willow is a beautiful girl with a loving personality who likes to get attention and is sure to draw attention with that gorgeous black coat she wears and those long, slender legs (that seem to have grown faster than Willow anticipated. Her foster momma says watching her on the stairs is a riot.) She is a Velcro Dane so if you are looking for a lovebug, you got it with Willow. She is super smart and knows the commands Sit and Down (for a treat of course), Drop (when playing fetch), Off (as in Willow, off the furniture), Paw and Trade. Chewing on comforters and towels is comforting for her, so her foster mom uses the Trade command to switch the blanket out for a favorite chew toy. And if she is needing to get your attention or she wants to get back into your good graces (maybe after a little antic or misbehavior) expect her to reach out with her paw. It's like her very own olive branch. This beautiful lady is a ball of energy and has mastered the art of zoomies and playing fetch. She loves warm baths and she will tolerate her teeth being brushed (although she can think of other more interesting ways to pass the time than having her toofers cleaned-such as investigating open doors or perusing unclosed trash cans.) Sweet Willow will need to be the only dog in the home. She was attacked by a dog in the past and she has become fearful and she now shows aggression towards other dogs. Cats are probably a no as well. She has been around chickens at her foster home and shows curiosity but the chickens remain in a penned area. Loud noises like fireworks are scary for her. She loves humans of all ages and heights, even babies, and gets excited when new people come to visit. With any large-breed, slow and proper introductions are important though. Also, she can get mouthy when she is playing so supervision with children is necessary. Miss Willow sleeps all night in her kennel and she will take her after lunch nap in the kennel space as well. She is housetrained. Leash training is a work in progress. She is still a youngster who can get into mischief if left unsupervised. Some Danes are slobbery and a drool flinger. Not Willow! Clean as a whistle. She's not even a licker nor is she food aggressive at all. She knows to wait patiently for her food bowl to be set down. She would love a family that will take her for car rides and maybe go to the park with her. When she is at home, though, birds and squirrels, trucks and passers-by beware. Her conversations are one-sided and she has a very loud and commanding voice. Willow is an absolute catch. Her foster parents say she is wonderful and will make a great family dog. Maybe that family is YOUR family? Willow would sure be interested in finding out! ========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .
