About Schmitty

This sweet boy needs a new home! We call him Schmitty ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F. Our older dog Sally says no thanks to having a puppy brother ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD. The ideal home for him will have a playful doggy sibling or an active, dedicated human who has the time to provide the physical and mental exercise that he needs (just running in the backyard is nowhere near enough for him). They would also have knowledge of both German Shepherds and Labrador Retriever breed behaviors. Here is some info about him: - He is a German Shepherd and Lab mix - He is about 5 months old - My guess for his weight is about 45-50lbs - He's a smart boy. He knows 'sit', 'down' and 'shake'. - He has been wormed and had flea and tick repellent applied. - He needs booster shots and needs to be neutered. He does have appointments made at UCAN that his adopter could take him to so that he can have those things done at a low cost. - He will come with his collar, leash, food, bowl, and his toys. - He does pretty well in the crate, but he does cry in it at times. - He is doing well at potty training - He does have some excitement and submissive pee at times, but that has improved a lot during the time that I've had him. - He loves to play with other dogs. - He is cat curious, but he has not hurt our cats. - He has done well with my children. - He does mouth a little (as all puppies do), but it is not excessive at all. - He can be vocal at times, so I'm thinking he probably wouldn't be best for an apartment.
