About Odin

Hi! My name is Odin, and I am a four year old black German Shepherd Mix. I was rescued from the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control just before Thanksgiving 2022 by a caring lady who saw my potential. She did a DNA test, and it said that I'm GSD, Belgian Malinois, Shiloh Shepherd, Bohemian Shepherd, Husky, Chow, Belgian Shepherd, White Swiss Shepherd, and American Eskimo Dog. I'm quite the mix! I get along with submissive dogs, male and female alike. Male dogs who are the dominant type are touch-and-go, but I'm able to exist in a large space with them as long as we have plenty of room. I'm not food aggressive or treat/you aggressive. I enjoy long runs and walks to keep me engaged and fun puzzles to help the Malinois in me stay tamed. I am a timid around men and have shown signs of aggression towards them. Not much is known about my past, but going back to the shelter would be scary for me. I spent over a month there with no one coming to say hi. My owner started crate training me and working on leash manners. She's very proud that I haven't broken out of my crate and that my recall is improving. She's in a tough spot right now, unable to move out of her current living situation with three other roommates (and four other dogs), due to financial constraints. She wants to do training with a specialist, but that is also out of her financial capabilities as we. She really wants the best for me!
