About Mia

Mia is the most loyal and loving dog I have ever had .. to me which is why it is so hard rehoming her. She gets along with our male Aussie great but she tends to be more dominant and I think maybe they are okay because he was still a young pup when we got him maybe. She loves car rides, she listens to commands such as sit stay come. She can be protective over her territory and me. I'm confident that she would protect me if I were in danger. She has some nervous energy, and lately with two babies under two, she has not gotten the attention she deserves. She would be better with someone without kids because she tends to want to herd my almost two year old so I have kept them more separated the last year or so. Sometimes she will lick all over his face but then other times, especially if I'm getting on to him, she will kind of nip.. not bite but like she's trying to make him listen. She's almost like a human. She barks at new people entering the home and does not like the mailman. She's shown her teeth at people but never but anyone. She is skeptical of new people at first. She loves being outside but she's also content just getting loved on inside. She loves sleeping near her us. She is not crate trained but she also doesn't get into things and she is potty trained. We have a doggy door now that she can go in and out of but we have also lived in a home where she was there 8 hrs a day by herself and was fine to wait until we got home.
