About Mama

Meet Mama. This stunning 1-2 year old Border Collie is being fostered in the Jacksonville area and will be ready for her always & forever on February 7th, after the Scooby Doo pups are fully weaned. The biggest thing to know about Mama? She is a TRUE herder! She loves to chase, nip, and organize her troops. Because of this, Mama needs a kid-free, cat-free home. She gets along fine with other dogs, but is more about co-existing than playing with her fur siblings. True to her breed, Mama is a real working dog - she needs a job or she'll create her own. Mama was born without one eye - but though she's technically partially blind, you'd never know it and it doesn't slow her down. She is a sweet & sassy girl, who prefers to be out of her crate whenever possible. Foster mom says she has excellent recall and even knows all of her basic commands. Mama is ready to take the step up to advanced training, and is just waiting for her happily ever after. Could you be the one for her?
