This is HENRY HUDSON. This adorable, affectionate, lovable goofball is looking for his forever home. He's a 2-year-old, 48 lb., Australian Cattle Dog-pointer-pit mix. He loves dogs and people, and he has been good with kids over 12. He is great for someone who is a runner/hiker and wants a worthy companion. He is super smart and loves learning. He came from an unsafe and unhealthy environment but is now fully vaxed, neutered, and just looking for someone awesome to love him! He is a handsome goofball that needs an experienced owner who's familiar with the breed and does not have young children. He is very affectionate and loyal and follows his people around wherever they go. He loves to cuddle and play with other dogs. He's high energy and needs a lot of attention and focus to help him learn and bond to his new environment. He'd do well with another young dog, but because of his food guarding, they'd need to be fed separately, and this behavior needs training and patience; he needs someone patient and active who has the time and resources to invest in training him. He can be nippy and has been known to snack on trash right off the ground! He'd do well with another young and active dog who isn't bothered by how mouthy, playful, and active he is. He needs long runs, hikes, or walks. Without enough exercise, he can get very frustrated and mouthy. He also can try to get out of the house and needs a safe environment. He is recovering from malnourishment, so he needs a high-quality diet. He is such a wonderful, loving, playful, and loyal pup and will make a great forever companion for humans who will help him continue to stay active and fine tune his training.
