About Oscar

Oscar is a 4.5-year-old Bichon/ Lhasa apso mix. He weighs 18 pounds. He has big eyes and a silly underbite. He was living the good life when his primary caretaker passed away. She was very doting and home quite a lot. Oscar's Dad works long hours and Oscar started acting out. Oscar can be very stubborn. His Dad came home from work and Oscar had made a mess. He was on the bed when his dad reached to pick him up and Oscar bit him. Oscar does seem to prefer women over men. He also may have been abused previously before he was adopted. He ducks when you try to pet him and always has his radar going to detect danger. On the flip side, Oscar is very loving. He is a bit of a Velcro dog, and he gets very upset when he is separated from his female person, (which is his current foster Mom). He doesn't like being picked up, but if he knows you and you approach him gently, he's fine. The aggression is strictly fear based. He is great with other dogs but wouldn't mind being your one and only either. Definitely no children for this guy. Oscar sits easily for a groom and a bath but look out when it comes to toenail clipping! He is a total lover if you are just sweet and easy with him. He needs a quiet home with someone home most of the time. He is potty trained and loves to go for little walks. He likes to sleep beside you on the bed. He is food motivated.
