Name: Peony Age: about two years Breed: Husky, medium, 35# Sex: Female, spayed Location: Los Angeles County, CA VET INFORMATION: Per Peony's caretaker, she has been spayed. Peony is not up to date on vaccinations and is not microchipped. She has been blind since birth according to her original owner. Peony is a good eater and is otherwise healthy. CARETAKER INFORMATION: Peony was found by her caretaker in late December 2022. In that time, she's been residing in a boarding kennel, then with her caretaker, and now with her caretaker's friend. Peony, like many Huskies, enjoys her time outside and did experience some stress when boarded. She is currently living in a home with a fenced yard that she can enjoy. Peony is house trained when given enough opportunity to go out, and she will go on pee pads when her caretaker can't get her outside enough during the day. Peony knows the cue for Sit, and she does fine on a leash. She does need some extra help and guidance when she is unfamiliar with where she needs to go. Peony is good with men, women, and teenagers. She's not been around small children. She's currently living with four other dogs and cats. The cats have been kept separated from her out of caution, but there have been no incidents or issues. Peony does well with the two female dogs and one of the male dogs in the home and will play with them. The other male dog has some aggressive tendencies so she is kept away from him. Peony isn't possessive with treats, toys, or food. She has never shown aggression to other animals or people, and she has no bite history. Her owner feels that she does well adapting to new situations and surroundings. Peony has had a lot of change in her life recently, but, while she has experienced some stress, she has adjusted and become more calm and comfortable as she has gotten used to each change. Her Caretaker Would Like You To Know: 'I would like her to find a really lovely family because she's a nice dog. I want her to have her best life.' Does anyone have room for sweet Peony? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
