About Posey

Posey belongs to one of my dog training clients. She is a 4 year old Hanging Tree Cattle dog. She has significant dog aggression issues. After training for nearly a year, trying different medications and management strategies, it has become clear that she simply cannot safely coexist in a home with other dogs unless muzzled, leashed, and supervised. Her owners have three other dogs, so they are looking to rehome her so all the dogs can have a more normal life with less stress. When she knows you, she can be a very sweet girl with people, but she can have issues meeting strangers. Absolutely no other pets or children under the age of 16! She is accustomed to staying home during long work hours, is kennel trained, muzzle trained, knows how to use a dog door, and she has decent amount of leash training as well. She will come with unlimited access to my group classes so she can continue learning more appropriate behavior in public. She has learned how to be fairly well behaved when she sees or hears other dogs and I would like her to continue improving so she can take walks and get exercise nicely, but she needs an owner who will advocate for her space and protect her and others from direct dog interactions.
