About Duke

Little Duke came in absolutely terrified. I don't think he had seem much goodness or human love, but one of our employees took him under his wing and gave him attention, love, and most of all patience. He has become such a sweet boy, and is now in a loving foster home learning to be part of a family with humans, dogs, and even cats. Lola and her siblings came in with their mother Lucy. She took good care of her babies, and we do too! Lola is a precious playful little girl. **We are a rescue in Mississippi that travels up the East coast once a month to meet adopters with their pre-adopted dogs and cats at a predetermined time and location. Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
