About Finn

Lab mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

We often hear about dogs who love people, but Finn takes it to the next level. He's crazy about anyone with two legs. Meet Finn! This black beauty of a boy is a 42-pound lab mix who recently turned 7-years-old. He currently lives in Amesbury, MA. Finn is funny, sweet, and super friendly. He isn't skittish and shows no fear. He loves going to his current owner's workplace, too. There he is adored by teenage hockey players and loves running around the rink in search of treats and attention. His favorite things include snuggling, belly rubs, and feeling loved by humans. Finn has the outward appearance of a permanent puppy, but is an old soul on the inside. He loves to lay in the sun on a hot summer day, but don't expect him to enjoy rainy weather! Finn should adjust nicely into a new home given a little time. He is crate trained (and loves his crate) house trained, great on a leash, excellent in the car, and never barks (seriously, never!) Finn loves exploring on his walks and going on off leash hikes. Everyone who meets Finn is charmed by his quirky, and loveable personality. Though he lives with other dogs he is dog selective. For that reason Finn must be the only pet in the home, to include cats. However, he loves play dates with compatible dogs and would benefit from continued socialization. He also lives with toddlers, but prefers the company and attention of adults and older children. Kids 8+ are best! So, why does a perfect dog need a home? First of all, Finn and one of his dog-sibs get along marvelously. They are best buds. On the other paw, Finn and his other sibling are not friends and have gotten into fights. The family tried training and various strategies, but still the sibling rivalry continues. Rehoming one of them is a safe, though difficult, choice. (In case you are wondering, Finn is easier to rehome and will handle change better. He loves people and isn't nervous, while the other dog would really struggle with uprooting.) Finn would do well with someone who is home more often than not. He loves his people-time most of all so we don't want him alone all day. Please consider welcoming this sweet dog into your home. You'll be helping a very nice family that is devastated to make this choice. No other pets, kids 8+.
