About Rosie

Meet sweet Rosie. I found her on Nov 10th on Roosevelt Blvd with just a harness and a rope for a leash. She is not chipped we had her checked. Rosie is a 39lb sweetie, she walks well on a leash and is house trained but needs further obedience training. Unfortunately, my other two senior female dogs and her do not get along, I believe she would do best as an only dog or with a male. Rosie enjoys going on walks, she is referred to as 'tiny tinkler' & makes her 'marks' known. Her cute little strut will win you over, she enjoys nature-be on the watch for squirrels. Rosie has showed interest in other dogs during walks and whines if she can't go see them. Rosie has all sorts of noises she likes to make & enjoys laying on you while watching tv, yes, she will watch the tv with you! She enjoys being petted & will fall snooze next to you, she also is content just at your feet. Rosie loves her little bunny friend & carries it with her out of the cage in the morning. Rosie is a very sweet affectionate dog who loves to follow you around. Still learning about mirrors, reflections & can be quite funny during the process. We have taught her how to 'give kisses' where she will gently put her nose to you for a kiss. She has also learned sit (with treats) and outside. She is aware of noises out of the norm & will bark at it, however, with toys & reassurance of 'all is ok' she will be easily diverted. She seemed to have anxiety as she kept hearing noises (even when we didn't), so my vet suggested to put her on Prozac. The medication has helped some in calming her down. We have not had the experience to see how she interacts with children but we have had no issues with her interacting with male/female adults. She has come a long way since we first found her, w/ patience & training, she will be a very loyal companion for a lifetime. Please help as we only want the best for her, but it is becoming too much within the house with our 2 dogs.
