Story of Pickles from foster mom: 'She lost her human and home and lived on the streets for 3-4 years. (During that time, she stayed outside of deceased owner's home, waiting for him to come home, while neighbors fed her). In early October I took her in for recovery from mange. When mange was gone she went to the vet who vaccinated, tested her and found out that she was spayed but had an entropion eye (which caused her to appear as if squinting). On Dec 13 she had both eyes surgery and on Dec 27 stitches were removed. It took a village of rescuers to make this kitty healthy. She is ready for adoption. Please share her story. She needs patience, she is careful towards humans but friendly to other cats and small dog. She had a long journey to be comfortable around me and my house. Every day is an improvement.' Pickles' estimated age is about 6 years and she is in Long Beach, CA. Additional photos available.
