About Mavis

Mavis is a sweet girl with a great temperament. She is estimated to be around 6 years old and weighs just over 50 pounds. She'd love an adopter who works from home! Mavis is house trained, does great in a crate and is well mannered on a leash. If you love cuddles and naps on the couch, Mavis is the dog for you! Mavis does extremely well with children - even toddlers! She likes to give them gentle kisses, and politely asks adults for loving with a hug. Mavis will give the puppy eyes when she doesn't want to go outside to potty or in her crate, but don't fall for all the cuteness. Mavis gets along best with male dogs and lower energy dogs, in general.. She's easily adaptable and trains easily. Like most pitbull-type dogs, her play style is loud and rowdy. Once she gets to know you, she will love you forever! NO cats for Mavis. We will consider applicants with female dogs on a case-by-case basis (not within 3 years of age), but Mavis much prefers male dogs.
