About Daisy

Daisy is a three-year-old, forty-pound, lab mix that was facing her euthanasia day at the shelter when we rescued her. A sweet natured breed, Daisy is good with other dogs, affectionate, gentle, would love a fenced yard, is likely not good with cats, and would do well with kids ten and over. �%A0Daisy's foster writes 'I have had Daisy around kids under the age of 10 and she's done fantastic. She actually prefers the younger kids over the older kids. She is definitely timid of men. It is taking her some time to warm up to my husband, so she will need a family that is willing to take the time to work with her. Having my other dogs around shows her that men are not a threat. I've also had her around a six-month-old puppy, and she did awesome. Daisy was very gentle and playful.' Daisy is Heartworm Positive, CrisisDogsNC has already started her Heartworm treatment, and will cover the cost until treatment is completed. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
