He loves to sleep under the covers in bed with you but will also happily sleep in his crate. He loves squeak toys and chew toys. He's very smart and loves to learn, so we'd like to place him with someone who's into treat training (obedience and possibly even agility as he does like to climb up on things and he can run fast). We think Goober is a Boston Terrier/Beagle/Gazelle mix LOL, ~2 years old, ~25 lb. He is goofy, playful, can move VERY fast during play and has pretty intense bursts of energy before settling down. Zoomies around the yard in the morning are helpful in getting him to settle down. It only takes minutes, not hours. He just starts the day raring to go. He can jump up onto a desk, chair, or table as effortlessly as a cat but will also get off with the command GET DOWN. VERY treat motivated, so is very trainable. He is crate trained and housebroken and will go to the door to ask to go out. Goober is NOT suitable for seniors or kids under teenage. His foster parents are seniors and are recommending people in their 60's and above pass on applying for him. He is also NOT suitable for older dogs. Would do well as an only dog or with another young goofy dog who's into all out playing without getting stressed by a rough & tumble playmate. Fenced yard required, at least 5' high. He really needs a place to romp every day. An occasional walk won't cut it. Foster parents say their ideal adopters would be someone who works from home with a fenced yard who want to spend some time throughout the day playing and exercising him as they take breaks from working. Also someone who's into training as he seriously loves treat training, learning, and bonding with his human that way. He is cat tolerant so as long as your cat isn't terrified of dogs, it could work. He lives with a cat and 5 dogs in his foster home and after some time settling in, he now respects the cat's desire to NOT play with him. He is a good watch dog who will alert you to noises outside, but this makes him unsuitable for apartment/condo living. Fostered in the Poconos and you drive to us to adopt. We adopt to several hours out from zip code 18330. Submit application here: https://form.jotform.com/41555257797165
