About Reese

Reese is a chihuahua mix who was adopted by us as a 6 week old puppy. He is now 6 years old and has been ours his whole life, but we have a baby and toddler and can no longer give him all the attention he needs. He has a mild chihuahua personality (slightly nervous, better with fewer close relationships, and protective of his loved ones). He loves to snuggle, sit in your lap, give kisses, and burrow under blankets. He is a good guard dog about barking at people coming up to the house. He has always been kept inside but has had a fenced yard to play and potty in. He is well potty trained as long as he is let out often enough. He loves to go for walks and play with his toys. He has never been aggressive toward us or our kids unless provoked. He mostly ignores our kids unless they have food, which is why I recommend he be with adults. He likes playing with friendly cats. He is good with dogs who are easy going/submissive, but he gets competitive with other animals dominant dogs. He is on the milder energy side - mostly sleeps in blankets all day but enjoys going outside or for a walk when the opportunity presents. If you need a lap dog or dog to alert you of outsiders, he is a great match!
