About Rocky

Adoption Fee: $600
Great Dane
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

LOCATION: Kilgore, Texas DOB: 01/04/2020 (Estimate) Meet our friend, Rocky! Rocky is a happy, goofy dude who is affectionate towards his people. He loves to snuggle and will climb right up onto your lap. But he also has an independent side, and he can be just as content laying by himself, soaking up the vibes in the room. He is housetrained and he uses a kennel, both when unsupervised and when it is time to eat. He has no food aggression towards people when he eats. He can be vocal when he thinks his family has been gone too long and he is wanting out of his kennel. And as soon as his foster mom pops open that kennel door, he is super chill and ready to climb up on the ottoman and watch the comings and goings of the house. In his foster home, he has several furry foster dog siblings who he enjoys playing with. Sometimes, with initial interactions he can get nervous meeting new people and new dog friends. After that though, it is all love. And he would rather share his love with grown up humans, so a no-kid home would be needed. And if you're wondering if he is smart-of course he is! He knows Sit, Lay Down, Outside and Shake Hands. On the leash, Rocky is a work in progress. Just like any Dane, he is very strong and he can use that weight to pull the person on the other end of the leash, even if they aren't ready or wanting to go the direction Rocky thinks they should be going. But he is food motivated and he continues to work with his foster mom to improve his leash skills. This boy's beautiful brindle coat might turn heads everywhere he goes but it's that heart and personality of his that wins everyone over. And he will win you over, too, if you give him a chance. ========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .
