About Goose

Goose is a two-year-old, German Shepherd, weighing fifty-five pounds. He has a congenital hip issue typical of shepherds. His back legs get fatigued, and his tail does not stand up, but Goose can run and jump and thoroughly enjoys life. He is on continuous pain meds and a chicken-based diet for a sensitive stomach. Goose loves the water! He even digs into the water bowl hoping it's a swimming hole! Goose bonds deeply so we suggest no other dogs to compete with in the house. Goose loves to eat watermelon and bananas! A loyal and gentle companion he wants only to be by someone's side. He is housetrained but wears a diaper inside since he doesn't always feel what his back end is doing, but when you are home, he tells you when he has to go out. This is a special dog for a special person. Goose is best with kids ten and over. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
