About Batman

Batman is a bully (bulldog and pitt bill mix), adopted by my family when my first son was just 2 years old so we have had him almost 6 years. When adopted we were told he was neutered, 3 years old and a sweetheart. He has been good with other dogs, mostly smaller dogs as he gets intimidated. He has been around children as small as newborns but gets excited and may jump up on new people for attention. He has never growled or bitten me or my children and never meets a stranger. We believe he was abused so he's skiddish with yelling (football games or anger) and afraid of thunder storms. He prefers small confined spaces like the bathroom or a covered crate when storming or he will have accidents in the house. As with any dog, he can get jealous if not enough attention given and has been known to chew a few toys, but not many and mostly small figurines. He is allergic to chicken and will break out with an odd skin condition and lose hair if given dog food with chicken daily. Batman also has had his ears clipped and may need special attention to them when cleaning. He loves to take warm baths and have his hair blow dried. He walks on a leash decent, but tends to pull his walker more than I'd like, especially with small children. He weighs about 55 pounds but is a complete teddy bear. He loves kids, belly rubs and freedom to roam outdoors. I'm sad to say we are parting with him as our family grows larger and life's demands keep us from giving batman the best life he deserves. We have been hesitant for some time and would like to know he goes to a good home for his last days. He really just needs someone to snuggle and love him in his older age and keep him busy with physical activity. He doesn't play with toys much but loves bones and things to chase (can play fetch but doesn't always bring the ball back).
