About Boomer

Boomer and Sooner are in desperate need of a foster or forever home that has NO OTHER DOGS. They were adopted several weeks ago by a gentleman that has another dog, and initially things seemed to be working out, but as time went on and these two got more comfortable, that changed. The problem lies in that these two are siblings and have never been separated or had to share attention with another dog until they came to the shelter. At 10 years old, they are set in their ways, and not interested in that much change. Yes, we could separate them, but are not sure that would be in their best interest. Each other is all they have ever known and had been in only one home until their owner had to give them up due to health issues. They are current on vaccinations, microchipped and spay/neutered, heartworm negative and micro-chipped. He was 10 years old in March. Unfortunately due to the owner having a leg removed and the inability to care for him - he and his sister have come into the shelter for us to find them a great home for their senior years. They are a bonded pair so will need to be adopted together. Boomer is picky about his friends but 100% gets along with his sister - so we would recommend they be the only dogs in the home. There has to be someone who will love these two big kids for whatever time they have left. They love attention and are very well behaved. They will be excellent companions for the right person/family. The adoption fee for the pair is $100.00 ($50.00 per dog). They are fixed (spayed/neutered), current on shots, heartworm negative, wormed and micro-chipped. They are current on preventatives.
