We have an FIV+ cat who urgently needs to be fostered/rehomed. SweetFace is very loving boy who showed up on our street a some months ago. Our neighborhood has a large feral cat population AND people 'dump' cats here regularly. We took him in with open arms, called him SweetFace (because he has the sweetest face), took him to the vet to get him the 'works' and found out that sadly he is FIV+ (combo tested and Western Blot test confirmed). He is a healthy, fully vaccinated neutered male, about 6 years old, weighs 15 lbs and his FIV+ status is not a death sentence. FIV+ cats can live very normal, very long lives. We took in SweetFace in the hopes that our crew of 9 other rescues would accept him into the fold as they have with the others. Sadly, our dominant (and neurotic) male cat Tigre has rejected him and started to attack him. It's a bad and dangerous situation all around... and the first time this has ever happened. We have tried everything (we're not new at this). It breaks our heart because we have fallen in love with SweetFace but for his health and welfare, he must be moved to a safer environment. This is the first time that our family has ever had to do this, and it is gut wrenchingly heartbreaking. SweetFace either gets along with or ignores all of our other cats but he and Tigre are not able to coexist peacefully. The situation is critical. We URGENTLY need to place SweetFace with a Foster, a Rescue Organization, or a Forever Home. We have rescued dozens upon dozens of animals from our neighborhood (and beyond) over the years. We are a rescue family. We're hoping that the rescue network that has counted on us so many times throughout the years will come to our aid now. SweetFace is a loving boy who has many fun traits. He comes when called. He gets excited when you come home. He asks to be petted and loves head scratches and eye rubs. He is simply a beautiful soul. He deserves a good life. So far, he's had a rough time of it. PLEASE HELP. We would love to see him in a forever home. He loves head rubs and pets but is a very independent fellow. He's had a rough life so far and deserves a happy ending. Here are some pictures and videos of him - https://photos.app.goo.gl/LugTuqZNRjuKeKAE8
