About Penny

Hi! My name is Penny, and I am a two-year-old mixed breed sweetheart. My foster parent's best guess is that I am a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix. I was found roaming the streets of Redlands with my sister Delilah, and sadly, my original family did not respond to any of the social media blasts or flyers that my foster parents posted. I didn't have the best start of life, but I have come such a far way since then. I am now (mostly) potty-trained, can walk and run on a leash well, am crate trained, and know all of my basic obedience commands. That being said, I would benefit from further obedience training and socializing with other dogs. My favorite pastimes are playing with and ripping up toys, chewing on bully sticks and antlers, playing fetch, going on walks, runs, and hikes, and taking naps while snuggling with my fur siblings and/or foster parents. I am a bit shy and unsure when I meet most new people, particularly men, and I take a little while to warm up, but once trust is built, I am THE BIGGEST love bug!! I love playing, snuggling, giving kisses, and being hugged and petted . The best forever home for me is with a person or family who is moderately active, home often, and doesn't mind that I join them wherever they are in the house. I do just fine with cats, and I could cohabitate with another dog if they're balanced and give me time to acclimate. I prefer to be in a home with older kids (8 years or older) and I don't like loud noises, fireworks, quick movements, or yelling.
