This 9 year old, medium sized (52 pounds) beauty has been in a kennel environment for quite awhile and its no place for her older bones. Gretel has some mild arthritis and she would very much love a spot on the couch or a soft bed to lay on at her person's feet. She is a house trained, crate trained dog who would love to keep a lonely person company! Gretel knows some basic commands, but she will let the smell of good food get the best of her from time to time. She will counter surf if given the opportunity, so keeping trash cans covered is a must. Gretel has a lot of good years left and would be a great companion for someone who would prefer a house trained, adult dog. We would like to see Gretel in a home with older children. Gretel's ideal home has no other dogs or cats. Gretel is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, and heartworm negative.�%A0 If someone is interested in this sweet girl, she is the longest resident at the kennel currently....we are hoping she can find a loving home for her happy new year!
