About Thor

Thor was surrendered to us by his owner and came all the way to Amarillo Texas from Nebraska. Thor was living in a home with another male dog. A Boston terrier. I do not know all the specifics or the dynamic but I know for the last 12 months the owner had a terrible time keeping them apart as Thor was always attacking the Boston. Her veterinarian would not do cherry eye surgery so he is pending that surgery as we just took him into Rescue on 1/7/23. He gets along fantastic with most of my pack however, he has had an issue with one of my older alpha females. I reprimanded him several times and they get along now. He needs a strong owner. If placed in a home with other dogs they need to be submissive to prevent any issues at all but he is young and with a strong owner would be ok. He is crate trained knows basic commands and is a very sweet boy gets along with adults and children. We are posting him now but he will not be ready to be adopted until we get his surgery 2/21. It should be noted that we require a bulldog knowledgeable home as Thor is also going to need drops in his eyes for the rest of his life to prevent dry eye. We also require an approved adopter that passes are adoption process to pick up. Even though he was transported to us via an animal transport,We do not transport our dogs back out and require adopter to come meet and pick up
