About Cookie

Cookie is a super sweet, playful and friendly 40-lb male white/black lab mix, who is eager to show what an amazing companion he can be for that just right person or family. Approximately 18 months old, Cookie is very shy and reserved when first meeting new people and doggies, but once he feels comfortable in his new surroundings, he begins to blossom and make friends in his gentle, unassuming way. Playful with his other foster doggy siblings, Cookie likes the company of other dogs, and enjoys being outside, happy to sun himself or chew on a bone. During his time with his foster family, he's learned to use a doggy door, is housebroken, and has learned to go inside a kennel at dinnertime. He loves all dogs of any size and gender, and is always seeking out approval and affection from anyone nearby. He would be a great single companion dog or a perfect furbuddy for another male or female dog about the same size as him. Gentle and goofy, Cookie is ready to work his way into your heart and home. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
