I have two puppies that are about 4 months old, one boy and one girl that are great Dane, Lab mixes that I need to find a temporary foster parent for or that i need to find their forever homes and this is their story . I answered an ad on Craigslist about a week ago for puppies for sale. The guy told me he had 3 litters of puppies. He also told me I could meet him off of 210th st w and the 138 and follow him to his ranch. When I met him I followed him down some small dirt road you could barely even see that it was there off 210th st . As I was following him 3 loose dogs were running down the road , one of then looked like it just had puppies. All 3 dogs looked skinny and you could see their back bones. I was expecting to see a house but there was only a a small chain link enclosure type thing that he made with some tarps thrown over the top of it and that's where he was keeping the first litter of puppies . Which is not adequate shelter for a dog or puppy .There were probably about 7-10 puppies no more then 3 to 4 months old with 2 adult dogs. There was also some kind of dead animal leg that they were eating which was the only food I saw there for them . You can see the leg in the picture. Then I followed him to the other side of a camper where he had another tent that he had made with another litter of 4 more puppies only 7 weeks old with another adult dog I'm assuming was the mom who was also supper skinny. There was no food out for them and the only water I saw was in a small plastic container with maybe 1/2 inch of dirty water in it. As if all of this wasn't bad enough when we walked past the camper I heard a dog screaming and a lot of commotion inside the camper . The guy opens the camper door and a small dog comes running out injured from whatever was in the camper , I'm assuming another litter of puppies. It was bleeding from it's head and it's leg and this guy could care less. I did end up calling animal control and they sent someone out there but all they did was leave a notice there. They ended up making contact with the guy and only gave him a citation for the 28 dogs they found when they went there. There was no follow up visit scheduled to go back there and check on the dogs either and apparently animal control didn't see a problem with the physical condition of any of the dogs or puppies they saw there. After finding out animal control wasn't going to do anything to help any of the pups or dogs there I decided to try to do whatever I could to get the remaining puppies from him . So I had a friend of mine pretend like she was replying to his Craigslist ad and she met with him and he gave her two of the puppies from the first litter that I now have at my house with me. And that is there story. I had no intention of any of this happening when I answered his ad but I couldn't stand the thought of no one helping these babies. I have talked to every rescue there is and a few of them said they would try to courtesy post for me but these babies need to find there new forever homes or temporary foster parent as soon as possible. They don't have to stay together , they can each go to different homes. Please let me know if you are interested. I've attached pictures of the puppies . I also have pictures of the parents.
