About Forest

Mr. Forest just turned 3 years old.. He is about 53 pounds and he has some Shepherd in him but we don't know what else. He is such a sweet boy and surprisingly quiet even with all the excitement at the shelter. He gets along with adults and kids and is good with other dogs. He was adopted and returned in 15 days because he seemed to be fearful of the man in the home and he had way more energy than the family wanted to deal with. We have no cat information on him but would very seriously doubt if a cat would be a good idea.. We have been working with him on being afraid of men and he has come around with a couple of our volunteers. It is just a slow and easy process. He is housebroken and likes to play. He does have lots of energy so a young family would be great for him or a female only who is a runner since he loves to run. A fenced in yard would be a necessity for him- as most hounds get in trouble by letting their nose lead them into trouble. He is neutered, current on his shots, heartworm negative, wormed and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $125.00. In order to meet him or visit the shelter you have to submit an application and have that tentatively approved.
