About Daphne

Adoption Fee: $450
American Bulldog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Daphne Was surrendered by a breeder because she was deformed and could not walk properly. She would hop over the yard and scoot her on her right side because her left leg was not formed properly at birth. She does have a wheelchair and can hop but when we attempted to get her an FHO surgery to help correct her hip socket, My vet made it clear that it would not help her walk because she had spinal issues as well. She does scoot to express herself and it's hard to keep diapers on her because she doesn't really have a left hip and so the diapers cause a raw Chafing wound there. Her wheelchair allows her mobility and the use of her back legs to help strengthen the muscles. She does need a home familiar with special needs who has an area with washable potty pads so she can always be diaper free and not ruin carpet etc. she would do best in a home with tile or waterproof floors and very little carpet as she is incontinent. She is a very sweet dog with a very good quality of life and happy disposition. She loves treats and loves to be part of her family and out with everybody enjoying the other dogs company. She is only about nine months old and will not be growing much bigger. She's located in Amarillo Texas and I am requiring any approved adopter to come pick her up so that we can meet in person to make sure that it is a good fit. I do have an adoption process where a preapproval can be obtained. Please message for videos and additional pictures! She's a special girl deserving a special home
