About Raven

Raven is about 6 years old and weighs about 75 lbs. I can't begin to tell you what a good dog she is. She's been with us for over a year and has never once made any mess inside. She is totally housebroken and never tears things up. She's super sweet, gentle, playful, and just a happy - GOOD girl. She behaves in public, on car rides, walks well on a leash, and has learned to like living with her kitty. This dog tries to please. She's actually been helping us to desensitize small-breed rescue dog who fear bites and goes after other dogs. Raven doesn't react to her. She'll remain calm and let the other dog settle down when we ask her to and the little dog is becoming less reactive to others now. Raven is loyal and loving. She loves to be petted and cuddled and thrives on attention. She will do anything to make her person happy. This sweet girl was brought to the vet to be put down because of a skin condition that turned out to be something easily managed. All she needs is regular bathing like any dog would need and occasional, relatively inexpensive medications. It's not food or environmental allergies. Once the rescue got her, we realized she wasn't able to run using one of her back legs. X-rays and old medical records showed us that she had an old injury that had healed wrong. Raven underwent 4 surgeries and extensive physical therapy and is ready for her Happily Ever After. Raven is healthy - HW Neg, fully vetted, chipped, spayed, and lovable. This big baby LOVES children and does well with other dogs who are laid back and don't get in her face. She's actually quite playful and loves to run the yard and play chase with her fur friends. She does get a little jealous and is used to being the alpha but has done well with several of the other dogs we've had here during her stay. Raven's ideal home won't have a lot of stairs and will let her snuggle on the couch with her human(s). We're praying that Someone who takes regular walks will fall in love with her. That would help her keep her $10,000 leg strong and healthy. Please consider this sweet mush face as a new addition to your family.
