About Zeke

This sweet lab mix is around 8 months old. He was brought into a shelter in Texas with his littermates at approximately 8-9 weeks old. He and his siblings were taken into foster there together to save them from euthanasia. Unfortunately, that is where Zeke stayed until he was approx 6 months old. He didn't get the one on one attention that a young pup needs from his humans, and he had to protect what was his from his siblings. Our boy here had a lot of behaviors to undo once he arrived in CO. Now that Zeke is here, he is looking for the perfect fit. While he presently lives with both men and women, he will be most happy with a single woman. He lives with a lot of dog friends of varying sizes and personalities, and he THRIVES with playful, confident, easy-going dogs that are larger than him. Zeke needs patience, structure, and routine. While it will take him a few days to bond, he will reward you with the best good morning hugs and nighttime snuggles. Zeke is house trained, free roam trustworthy (he presently uses a doggie door) and he also loves his crate. He enjoys long walks, exploring the yard, playing fetch, and wrestling with his best friends (a couple mastiffs and a Pyrenees). Zeke is approx 45 lbs. He is extremely food motivated, smart as a whip, and is chicken friendly!
