About Buddy

Buddy is a smart, sweet, and affectionate dog with a sense of humor. He loves to go for walks and does very well on the leash at night. He is still working one learning to ignore squirrels during day walks. He knew few commands when we got him but has sense learned 'leave it' and 'lay down'. He is completely house trained and we have never seen him jump up on people. After adopting him from our city's animal shelter, we came to realize that he would thrive with a more active owner(s) who are experienced dog owners and good at training. He thrives with exercise, obedience training, and affection. We have not seen him with kids but his first family included kids. He was reportedly good with them but too big and playful with their toddler.
