About Rip

Rip is a beautiful, sweet, somewhat anxious, 2yr old who my family has been fostering, his first family had to give him up due to financial reasons. Rip knows his name, and some basic commands. Rip is crate trained, but he prefers to be covered when in it, and likes to sleep in the room at night. Would do best in home with no cats. Is fearful upon meeting new dogs. Rip is not for a beginner as his anxiety needs to be managed. He loves car rides and children, has been very gentle with all our children, even the baby, but would do better with older children as he can get over excited and knock over younger children. My oldest has wanted us to keep him, and we were hoping for a fosterfail situation, but our busy, large, and loud household has not been a good fit for Rip. (That and after months he still tries to chase the cats if an adult isn't present to stop him. Would recommend a home with a female if other dog is present as he seems to get more nervous and territorial around male dogs. He is up to date on all vaccines and is on heartworm medication. Adoption agreement and fee are non negotiable and home check must be passed.
