About Cody

Cody is a 7 year old 55 lb Australian Shepard. She was found wandering the street 4th of July weekend, having gotten spooked by the firecrackers going off near her owners home. We took her in and found the owner but he asked us to keep her for a while so he could get the fence fixed. Then through a series of bad luck and health issues he told us he couldn't take her back and could we find a home for her. She is a very loyal dog and will attach herself to the family. She has been around small children and babies and she does not bother them. But my granddaughter is afraid of her because of her size. She does not like to take walks or go outside alone. She barks occasionally and if a stranger comes to the house and you tell her it's ok she will not bother them or bark while they are in the house. We don't know what her previous life was like with her owner so we cannot explain why she is afraid of being outside. She is not interested in play with balls or dog toys. We cannot keep her as we are older and no longer want animals in the house.
