Fall in love with laid-back Timber! Looking for a mellow fellow? Say 'hello' to our boy Timber-an approximately 45 pound, 4.5 year old affectionate low key Aussie mix. The loving lad is a chill, couch cruisin', there's-no-place-like-homebuddy looking for his lifelong pal. Foster Mom finds 'Tim Tim' (as he is affectionately called)�%A0 to be a very laid-back, attention loving fella with a decided partiality for People time-plenty of it please. Look at the delight in the bright boy's face! Timber's always ready for attention and wouldn't object to a bit of spoiling. He doesn't mind a walkie or two, and toys can be interesting. But intense communing on a favorite recliner with his favorite biped (human) is his calling. The eager to please pooch enjoys treat rewards. He absolutely does NOT care for noisy noises or harsh scoldy tones-Timber cowers away from unpleasantness. And...cats. Yes kittycats send him into�%A0 'scaredy cat' mode. Timber would never think of going after a mouser-he doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. He just doesn't trust the feline species and is fine not having one anywhere in his abode. Timber does very well in his crate when the family is away at work. He has very good house manners especially after he had time to adjust to his new environment. Speaking of new environments, Timber is anxious with unknown situations-like the vet. His Forever Family will want to monitor him well, and maybe double leash him. Timber needs time to adjust, and he does given that time to trust and learn.�%A0 So what does this dear, need in his Forever After? Well, first and foremost a comfortable couch to share with his lifetime partner.�%A0 Timber would love a home with a human or two home more often than not-he'd love to hang with Someone who works remotely. Dog savvy youngsters 9 and up who just want a study buddy or video gaming spectator may be a part of Timber's clan. A dog with a similar personality would be okay. But no cats-cuz, felinophobia. �٪'� A fenced yard would be ideal, perhaps not necessary for the right home. Poor Timber came to rescue after living in a kennel pretty much his whole life. He was�%A0 heartworm positive and needed some TLC. He got it. Now-Timber's happy, healthy and impatient to go his Forever Home! Someone with a quiet retreat who wants to share it with a loveable, low maintenance Forever friend will adore Timber. Timber should be the canine apple of his Family's eye. Multiresidential buildings (such as apartments) and dog parks are not a good fit for this boy. The best adopters give their new family member time to decompress and grow familiar with a new environment and routine. They see the importance of investing time to understand their dog and build a bond of trust and provide steady, reasonable guidance and training. An adopter commits to slow and monitored introductions with new people, especially children, other animals, and new places. Timber says, 'Dear Forever, let's be best friends for life!
