About Calliope

Calliope is a new arrival and is ready to find her forever home! At just under a year old, she's already been through so much. She recently came to Wayward Ranch from the NYC ACC after she and 16 other cats were abandoned in a box in a lobby in the city. She was pregnant when she was abandoned, and the stress of the city shelter caused her to go into labor early and she was found in her kennel with her stillborn babies. When we heard her story we knew we couldn't leave her in the shelter and we brought her to our rescue. She arrived shell shocked and with a URI, but now is healthy and much happier. Calliope is initially shy with new people, but once she trusts you she loves to be pet. She is looking for a calm, patient family to understand what she has gone through and give her a safe life from here on.
