About Polka Dot

Miss Dottie is around 2 years old and is ready for a forever home after living in not such great conditions. She is undersized for her breed at 30lbs, believed to be full American Foxhound. Dottie was severely malnourished when we took her in, but has put on weight and is looking better everyday. Her foster family has the following to say about her, please consider her for your family: 'She is a wonderful mama who has taken great care of her puppies and has had multiple litters. Dottie takes a little bit to warm up to new people, but once she gives you her trust she will be your shadow. Dottie has done well with our kids and enjoys playing with toys. Dottie will need a little work in the beginning on building trust with her new family, potty training (but is becoming pad trained and will go outside), and basic commands. This sweet girl was pulled from a situation where she was set up to fail However with the work of Rescue Dog, Thompson River Animal Care Shelter, and her new family she will become an incredible family dog that will spend the day snuggling or adventuring with her people. Dottie will be having her spay surgery done on 12/14, and will be ready to go home on 12/16. Our hope is that once she is healed she will immediately be heading out to her forever home.
