About Loki

Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Loki is an approximately 3 year old Siberian Husky who was surrendered to the Wilkes County Animal Shelter for reasons unknown. I pulled him from the shelter as a foster to avoid euthanasia, get him UTD on shots, neutered, and in his forever home! This spunky boy loves to cuddle and play fetch and would do well in an active home, but he also enjoys his time cuddling on the couch. He is both house trained and crate trained. As a husky, he can be quite vocal. He does well with other dogs, but he does have some resource guarding behaviors with food/treats with other dogs and would need to be fed separately and worked with further on this issue. He does not have any resource guarding issues with people. He does have a strong prey drive and would do best in a home with no cats or small pets. He would also likely do better in a home with children over 10, as he is very energetic and could likely accidentally knock smaller children over. He walks well on leash, but will need to either be leashed or contained in a fence. He has not exhibited any signs of fence jumping or digging while he's been in my care. He is fully up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. He is also neutered and microchipped. If you feel like Loki could be your best new furry friend, please feel free to reach out to Sadie via call/text at (313) 306-6366 or at [email protected] for more information.
