Hello everyone! I'm Alex, a sweet, friendly, and smart 20-pound lemon-and-white Beagle/ Dachshund mix fella who was born in December 2018. Don't you love the way my tail curls over my back like a question mark and my feet splay out? Actually, a large majority of Dachshunds have turned-out paws, so this has become breed standard! I get along great with my hoomans -- adults as well as kids -- but I only tolerate other dogs, so I'd probably do best as an only pet-child. Who knows what dog breeds' blood courses through my veins, but Beagle/ Dachshund is a good guess. For years the Beagle has been the most popular hound dog among American pet owners, and the endearing nature and unique look of Dachshunds have won millions of hearts throughout the world. So I'd say that you can't go wrong with me! Both breeds are known for being alert and vigilant, and since barking is part of their hunting heritage, I'd make a fine watchdog. I need a new home because my owner passed away and no one in the family was in a position to adopt me. Arrange to meet me today! I have so much love to give, and all I need is you! Alex is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250 for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
