I really need to rehome my mini aussie heeler mix (30lbs), located in Independence. He was a rescue from family and doesn't get along with my partners Service dog. We've been looking for over a year and are really getting desperate. He's 7, desexed, and could live another 7 years. He has been seen getting along with other cattle dogs but does not like aggressive or fearful cats (herding instinct, he chases if they run). He is not getting the attention or care he deserves as he is a VERY sweet and loving dog. He loves pets, cuddles and balls. He can play fetch (it was a very simple train) but he would rather chase it then chew and guard it. He is also treat and affection motivated. While we *can* train him we just do not have the mental energy to. He needs a better home than we have for him. We are starting foster care in February and if medication does not work he will be put down as he has bitten my partner during altercations with their service dog.
