About Ludlow

I hope the internet will work its magic and lead me to the right person for my Ludlow. He is a sweet, 3-year-old American Pitbull Terrier. He has had a traumatic past, the rescue group I got him from failed to let me know of his challenges and assured me that he'd be the perfect fit for my family, and took my money. (I also have a 2-year-old and a cat.) Considering this, I was not prepared and have spent an endless amount of time and energy trying to make it work. He wants to be a good boy and impress, but whoever he originally came from sets him up for an anxiety-ridden life as he is terrified of males. It has been an emotional two years since I've gotten him, as I learned he is dog, cat, and leash reactive the hard way. This is my last resort after trying everything I could to make it work. He needs to be in a home with children 10+ of age, preferably a home without adult males-no other cats or dogs. I feel I don't have any other options at this point, as my toddler's safety is at stake. His severe separation anxiety makes it difficult for me to separate the two when necessary. He is potty trained, up to date on vaccinations and knows basic commands. I believe he would do best in a very active home; running his anxious energy out is necessary. He is a chewer, so bully sticks, elk antlers, and toys are also needed (I will give you his basket along with all other supplies). Although he's had a tough life, he's extremely loyal and loves to cuddle. I would prefer him to go with someone who has experience with rescues! I am located in central NH.
