Can you please share this with your group? My husband rescued this pup at the entrance of our neighborhood a few weeks ago. She likely would have been hit by a car had we not taken her in. We immediately checked her for a chip, which she did not have. We posted her on all the apps and no one has claimed her. We were hoping to get her spayed, but she went into heat shortly after we got her. She is vetted and healthy and is a 1 year old ish likely Black Mouth Cur. She is timid with people at first. She has a bark on her that is based in fear, but she very quickly warms up. It took her a couple of hours, but she warmed up to him quickly. Based on his experience I paced my introduction to her. She was hesitant at first and then warmed up to me as well quickly. We brought multiple people around her in the days she was at our home and she takes a minute to warm up to everyone. Once she does, she is your biggest fan. Not sure how she would do with other dogs. Mine wanted nothing to do with her so we kept them separate the whole time. She is currently with a friend who did us the favor of taking her in until we find her a home or a rescue. I think she would do best in a home with a strong alpha presence. Maybe as an only dog and I would recommend no young children as they may frighten her and therefore maybe cause her to snap at them. She will need to be spayed and if it helps, I will pitch in for her to have that done. The good news: She is crate trained She is housebroken She is loyal She is playful and smart She is GREAT with you once she is comfortable and not fearful She does well on a leash, but she is strong She seems disinterested in other dogs and cats while on walks She would be an excellent work out partner Please help me find her a forever home in time for Christmas!
