About Cocoa

Adoption Fee: $325
Beagle mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Cocoa is a one-and-a-half-year-old Beagle mix weighing between twenty and thirty pounds. Cocoa is smart, wiggly, healthy and affectionate, everything you would want as a new addition to your family. Cocoa loves people and playing with other dogs, so a resident dog his size or smaller (no big buddies!) would be ideal. This cheerful bundle of energy loves to run and play in his yard and to also take long walks daily! Fetch is his favorite game! Cocoa is an early riser with get up and go. He likes to ride in the car, sheds a lot for a small dog, and gets vocal with a funny chirpy bark (no howling) when excited. His ideal home is an active one and would have a yard and dog sibling. This little guy has lots of energy and always seems busy! A fenced yard is mandatory. Cocoa would be a great running companion. Cocoa's is very smart and already knows some commands.' He is well mannered in the house, is housetrained, doesn't need to be in a crate when you're away.%BD%A0 Cocoa's foster wants a prospective adopter to know these points about him:%BD%A0 Cocoa is high energy; he does best with a thirty to sixty minute walk each day.%BD%A0 Cocoa needs and loves backyard playtime, and he enjoys a good game of fetch. Cocoa walks well on a leash. Cocoa can sometimes play a little rough nipping a companion dog's ear and tail, but it's all in fun. Cocoa would not do well with cats in the house.%BD%A0 Cocoa loves flowing air; his two favorite things are to lay by the heater vent or in front of a fan. Most important, Cocoa loves to snuggle and cuddle on the bed or couch with you! No small kids who can leave a gate or door open. Cocoa is healthy, heartworm negative and ready for an active household. Apply on CrisisDogsNC.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
