Sutton was found as a stray when she was a few weeks old and I adopted her when I was graduating college. She's now 5.5 years old. She's a very sweet, affectionate, social cat to her owners. She's usually in our laps napping or purring, sitting next to the dinner table hoping for some spare cheese or chicken, or perched by the window watching the birds outside. She loves to play with her laser pointer, springs, and flying feathers. Right now she's strictly an indoor cat but with the right environment and proper exposure to the outdoors I do think she might enjoy being an indoor/outdoor cat. She could also adapt to living with a dog. Like most cats, she can be territorial. She's typically skeptical of strangers and can be feisty towards them. Over time she adapts to people (pet sitters we've had, long term guests, etc.) it just takes her time to warm up to new people. Occasionally she'll swat at guests to assert her authority but often she'll just keep her distance. We're confident that with a little bit of time, patience, and love she'd adapt to a new owner and home well. Sutton is in good health. She had a tooth pulled almost 2 years ago due to decay. She's on an allergy sensitive food because she was throwing up occasionally (sometimes due to hair balls or eating too quickly). She also has a gabapentin prescription that we give to her before we go to the vet, have guests over, or she has a stressful event. It really helps calm her down! We have also given her CBD oil and that helps calm her down tremendously too. We're heartbroken to have to rehome her, but we have a baby girl who loves Sutton and Sutton unfortunately does not love her. We also travel half the year for work and don't have a stable place for her. We aren't able to give Sutton the attention she needs anymore and it's caused her to be more upset towards us and our guests. We want her to have a loving home where she is well cared for and happy!
