About Kona

Kona is a 1 year old, approx 40 lb. plott hound mix that was saved from euthanasia in an overcrowded SC shelter. She does great with other dogs and cats! Kona is relatively high energy and would probably not do well in a home with small children as she is pretty jumpy and still 'mouthy'. Kona loves to follow her humans around and be by their side the majority of the time. Despite her high energy most of the time, she can retire in the evenings as a couch potato if everyone else is resting as well. Kona is house broken and smart, she will even tap the doorknob to let you know when she needs to go out! She's crate trained, though not exactly thrilled about being in the crate when she can see and hear her people moving about! She's very food motivated which makes training a breeze! Kona is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. NOTE: Kona is currently located in foster in SC where she was saved. Transport to points north will be arranged for an approved adopter. Anyone interested in Kona will have the opportunity to speak to and video conference with Kona and her foster mom.
