About Dutch

Adoption Fee: $10
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Dutch is one of 3 orphaned kittens left on my doorstep four years ago at a very stressful time, as my husband was terminally ill. I tried to rehome them, to no success. As a former farm animal rescuer, surrendering to our kill shelter was not an option. Dutch thinks he's the baby of the bunch! By far the most affectionate, and prefers a comfy couch along side his human. He also loves to watch his iPad! He is vocal in that his calls are to locate his human. Answer back & he appears for his snuggle or playtime with his human. Due to a fractured hip as a kitten, he is vocal when initially handling him as much to say, 'watch my hip!' The fracture healed completely, but perhaps he remembers the trauma. This is the only reason I may give warning when around children. Dutch is UTD on all vaccines, and is microchipped. Due to financial constraints, I have had to sell my home and 12 acres after my husband passed. I now live in a 22' RV. For 3 cats and one elderly dog, it's an unfair situation for the cats. Especially since they grew up on a farm! There are no other permanent living plans at present, except my time here is up and pets need rehoming in a month's time as the new property owner will not allow cats and has 2 large dogs that may severely injure them or worse. Note: these cats are fine for adoption to separate families. They are all very smart and adapt to massive changes in their environment very quickly. Unusual for a cat, but they have grown used to it, I guess.
