About Cato

This is Cato! Husky Mix that is neutered and comes with a lot of energy believed to be 3 years old but acts like a puppy still. I picked up Cato from a family friend and I have had him for 2 weeks now. Cato Story - Cato is originally from Kennesaw, GA and he was on the streets traveling for 1 month. He made his final destination to Athens, GA where our family friend found him on the street. When I picked him up from our friend who housed him for over a week, I was told he was potty trained, crate trained, and had his shots all up to date. These were false. The shots were confirmed by the original owner, but with no proof or records, there can be no guarantee. He is a loving dog and wants all the attention that I simply cannot give with a full-time job. I thought he was fully trained, which he is not, (I think due to being a stray for a month he lost his touch) I am in need to find a new home for him as the friend who I got him from is not wanting to take him back... I paid $60 for him and only ask to give what you can so I can try to make up for some of the lost wages. He is a vocal dog and jumps up on beds and couches. He will need to be re-trained. I spent every day that I had him trying to retrain him and he has picked up on things quickly, but having my job, there is simply not enough hours in the day that I can give to him to have the life he needs. He has a ton of energy and likes to bark at squirrels. He has not shown any aggression, with the exception of a playful nibble which I am currently trying to train out of him. He is still very skinny and loves to play with toys and chew. I was told he is good with other dogs (he lived with 3, before I picked him up) but he barks at them when I take him for a walk. He is a very smart dog, but his ecstatic energy does not fit with mine and I hate to see him go. Original owner did not care for the dog and kicked him out of the house by leaving the door open on purpose. Please contact me if you can be his forever home. Mike
