About Zephyr

At his young age, he's already fallen victim to his own good looks. Zephyr was surrendered to a shelter in New Mexico for being 'too active.' I'm sorry, what? You know he's an Aussie right? Also being a sucker for his undeniable good looks, we immediately knew we had to welcome this boy to MHCR. And so, we did. Since arriving into foster care, we've gotten to know this boy quite well. We've found him to be of medium energy - and nothing short of what one may expect from an Aussie mix. Zephyr is GREAT with other dogs, does well on a leash, is crate trained, and is dialing in his house training. He will THRIVE in an active home with a fenced in yard (yes, this is required). Zephyr would love a doggie friend to romp around with, too! He wouldn't be opposed to couch privileges as he loves a good snuggle. Families with small kids, please do your research before applying! Herding dogs don't typically do well with the chaos that comes with toddler humans.
