About Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown is a 3 year young, 15 lb. dachshund mix that really just wants to be held and cuddled with his hooman(s). His energy is moderate, and he mostly shows his energy by asking to be held. He shares a foster home in Harrisburg, PA with several other dogs. A dog-savvy cat also occupies the home and he barked at her initially. We worked on consistent correction with redirection during his first week in foster, and he now walks past the cat at close range without even acknowledging her. Charlie Brown loves playing with toys, especially the squeaky ones. He's mostly crate trained and eats all meals in his crate and keeps it clean from messes. He would just rather be with his person than crated away and sometimes vocally expresses his displeasure. He is house trained but if its frigid outside, he would rather use a potty bad by the door. He enjoys cuddling with and under blankets next to or on his person. Charlie Brown is neutered and is current on vaccines and monthly preventatives and is ready to meet his furever family. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter.
