About Mateo

I'm Mateo, my foster family calls me Teo for short. I'm a 3 year old Shepherd mix weighing 75lbs. I am a high energy guy and would do best with another dog in the house who matches my energy level. I enjoy being outside and running around with my foster siblings, playing with toys, and chewing on toys. I also think I'm a lap dog and will sit with you while you're relaxing (sometimes I will even sit on you ). The first part of my life was awful, I was outside on a three-foot chain, lack of shelter, scarce food, and absolutely no love. Since being recused I am learning that I can trust humans, I just need an alpha owner to lead me. I soon as I know who is in charge I aim to please and just want to be loved. In my current foster home there are kids of all ages, even a 2 year old who loves to share her food with me, 4 dogs (male and female), cats, and I love them all! I know how to sit and I respond to my name very well. Treats are my favorite, I can even catch them in the air! I'm neutered, vaccinated and taking monthly preventatives. I'm waiting for you to give me a second chance with a loving family! I'll meet you in Lebanon, PA! Some bonuses that come with Mateo's adoption include: Free Session with MCS Dog Training Reduced Adoption fee (donation provided by Subaru Loves Pets initiative) We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
